Italian Swing & Jive

Jumpin’ Shoes’ + Tribute to F. Buscaglione

BIOGRAPHY:

An elegant and refined show and at the same time a burnst of energy!
The Jumpin' Shoes perform Italian and American standards with the sound of the ballroom bands of the 40’s and 50’s . The bouncing rhythm of bass and drums, the brass line up, a pumping piano and the swinging singer’s voice will blow you out..
The Jumpin’ Shoes are one of the oldest and most influential band of this genre in Italy and they bring us back into the Golden age of swing with a fine attention to details like the use of wooden band stands, pinstriped suits, bicolor gangster shoes and a repertoire of evergreens by Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway, Louis Prima plus many Italian classic songs like Baciami Piccina or Buonasera Signorina.
They also perform in an entirely “Dedicated to Fred Buscaglione” show featuring the actor and singer Franz Campi.
The Jumpin’ Shoes have a solid live experience, both in Italy and Europe. They performend at the Ferrara Jazz Festival, Marostica Jazz Festival, Monte Carlo Jazz Festival, Rock That Swing in Munich, The Summer Jamboree Festival in Senigallia, in Venice Casino, Campione d’Italia Casino, Lipica Casino, Kraniskagora Casino, Gstadt Grand Hotel, Cannes Grand Hotel, Salsomaggiore Grand Hotel, Montecarlo and Rimini Gran Hotels. Other highlights includes concerts in theatres all over Italy, TV show appearances on QUELLI DI RAI2 and ZELIG.
The band has recorded three albums, but the live performance is where the band shows its full potential. Their swinging music and their gags on stage are always contagious.
