If you mix a cocktail of swing, jive, jump blues, a beautiful singer with a velvet voice and five swingin' cats on saxophone, trombone, guitar, double bass and drums, you'll get "Laralù & The Vintage Kings"!
Listening to their sound is like jumping' back to the Fourties, in a smokey club in Harlem with smooth, swinging songs that you can just listen to, or dance.
In 2010 they released the cd, "Hot Cherries" , they performed in many festivals such as Summer Jamboree Festival in Senigallia ( one of the most important festivals on the '40 and '50 culture).
They also collaborate with burlesque artist Lou Lou Leroy.
Laralù is the nickname of Lara Luppi, an experienced and talented Italian singer who's always been inspired by traditional jazz, swing and the best female jazz and blues american vocalists of the Swing Era. She started singing when she was very young and ever since she's been leader of many projects (swing, jazz, gospel, blues) , released several albums, performed in clubs, festivals in Italy and abroad, collaborated with many italian and american musicians (among them the italian guitar and banjo player Lino Patron and the american rhythm section that worked with Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, Walter Booker and Bobby Durham with whom she also released her first album, a recording dated 1997)

Una grande opportunità per rivivere in pieno la Swing Era quando in America nei locali si ascoltava musica fino all’alba, si ballava e si assisteva ad uno spettacolo completo. Con i Vintage Kings non si fatica ad entrare subito nelle atmosfere della storia di quel periodo e si possono ascoltare ( e ballare!) sia gli standard dello swing sia rivisitazioni di classici del jump blues del primo R&B e delle radici del rock and roll.
l Vintage Kings rendono omaggio con grande versatilità a Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, Louis Prima, Elvis Presley, il tutto rigorosamente in linea e in tema anche nel look.
Il gruppo si avvale dell’elegante scenografia creata da due/tre coppie di ballerini di swing, anche loro vestiti a tema.
Laralù & The Vintage Kings hanno inciso nel 2010 il cd “Hot cherries”.

Laralù è il nome d’arte di Lara Luppi cantante italiana di grande talento ed esperienza che ha sempre tratto grande ispirazione dal jazz tradizionale e dalle grandi vocalists americane dell’era dello Swing.
Lara Luppi è leader di vari progetti, ha inciso 12 album a suo nome, ha cantato in festival italiani e stranieri, collaborato con musicisti nazionali e internazionali di fama.
