Jazz is more that a musical genre: it’s freedom, it’s a way of thinking, feeling, seeing things and that’s why it is so natural for a jazz musician to take material he likes and read it in his special way.

Meltin’ Pop satisfies this need and thus classic rock songs by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beatles, Toto, Lou Reed or Doors are given new life and sound. Jazz pianist and arranger Luca Savazzi is not new to this kind of experience and neither are Lara Luppi, Enrico Lazzarini and Andrea Burani who shared a similar project for many years called “Linea di Confine”.
